Job Summary
The Senior Principal HR Management Consultant plays a key role in leading and delivering exceptional client services through a blend of monthly HR retained engagements and project-based initiatives. Senior Principal HR Management Consultants serve a dual role by delivering HR consulting services directly to clients as well as leading teams in the delivery of consulting services through strategic project oversight, and the professional development of direct reports. The Senior Principal HR Management Consultant is accountable for the success of their engagements and exercises a high degree of discretion in decision-making and driving positive outcomes for both clients and Helios.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, execute on, and oversee HR projects and retainers, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Manage and develop direct reports, fostering a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
  • Build trust-based relationships with clients, offering strategic counsel and addressing complex challenges with confidence.
  • Proactively identify and address HR compliance issues and strategic opportunities that align with client goals.
  • Develop and execute project plans and strategies, setting engagement priorities aligned with Helios and client objectives.
  • Influence peers, clients, and executive leaders on HR strategic matters.
  • Identify and manage potential scope creep, providing solutions to clients and maintaining alignment with project goals and project budget.
  • Initiate difficult conversations with peers and clients, offering constructive feedback to solve problems and strengthen relationships.
  • Partner with Practice Leaders and sales team on business development efforts, contributing to proposal development and client presentations.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities with existing clients, introducing solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with Helios management team to manage consultant utilization and planning
  •      Proficient in business operations, such as project management and budget management that may impact resource planning and other business operations

Qualifications:
  • 10-15 years of experience, including HR leadership or consultant roles.
  • Advanced generalist skills in HR, with depth in one or more functional areas.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing HR programs.
  • Advanced degree preferred, Senior Professional Certification or multiple certifications highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple, complex client engagements simultaneously, and effectively manage team dynamics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and confidently.
